E-Houses & Portable Cabins in Gandhidham, Kandla, Mundra

Gandhidham sits between two of India's largest ports. We build E-Houses, container offices, labour camps, and security and toilet cabins for Kandla, Mundra and the industries that have gathered around them.

Gandhidham, Kandla & Mundra

Eastern Kutch is a port economy. Deendayal Port at Kandla handles vast volumes of bulk, liquid and container cargo, with a newer terminal at Tuna Tekra; Mundra, further west along the gulf, has grown into one of the country's largest ports with its own SEZ, power plants and industrial zones. Between them, the Kandla SEZ, Gandhidham's timber and salt trade, and the Anjar–Bhachau belt of pipe, steel and engineering plants keep construction and expansion constant.

Ports and port-based industry need a wide range of structures. Container yards and freight stations need gate cabins, yard offices and stores. Terminals, tank farms and plants need E-Houses, control rooms and substation enclosures. And the contractors building them need labour camps, site offices and toilet blocks, often for several hundred people at a time.

From Umbergaon, the Kandla–Mundra area is a long road journey through Ahmedabad and across the Little Rann. Heavy cargo routinely travels this corridor, so the roads suit large modules, but port sites have their own gate and permit processes, which we plan around.

Applications

Built for the climate

Specified for Gandhidham.

Hot arid coastal climate: very hot summers, dust, salt air near the gulf, a sparse monsoon and a high seismic hazard.

  1. 01Specify galvanised frames, PPGI skins and stainless fixings for salt air at the ports and along the gulf.
  2. 02Kutch lies in India's highest seismic zone — ask for structures and anchorage designed for the seismic loads your engineer specifies.
  3. 03Use a thicker PUF roof, insulated walls and generous AC provisions for extreme summer heat.
  4. 04Anchor structures for cyclonic winds and seal E-Houses against fine dust with filtered ventilation.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do you deliver E-Houses to Mundra and Kandla?

Yes. We deliver by road from Umbergaon through Ahmedabad and across the Little Rann. E-Houses leave the workshop finished, and we plan port gate procedures, vehicle size and the lift with your team.

Are your structures suitable for Kutch's seismic zone?

Steel-framed prefabricated structures are light and behave well in earthquakes, but the design loads should come from your project engineer. Specify the seismic zone and standards your project applies and we design the frame and anchorage around them.

Can you supply a large labour camp for a port or plant project?

Yes. We build bunk houses, canteens, toilet and wash blocks, offices and security cabins as a planned camp. Share the headcount, duration and plot and we will propose a layout.

Do cabins need special protection near the sea?

Yes. Galvanised frames, PPGI or coated skins, stainless fixings and well-sealed joints make a real difference to life near the gulf. Our coastal and monsoon guide explains what to specify.
