Tarapur MIDC at Boisar is its industrial core, with chemical, pharmaceutical, steel and textile plants, and the district is also home to the Tarapur atomic power station and the Dahanu thermal power station.
Palghar is now one of the busiest infrastructure districts in western India. The dedicated freight corridor, the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail line and the Mumbai–Vadodara expressway all cross it, and the deep-water port at Vadhavan is under development on its coast. What should we prepare before the monsoon?
Finish foundations and site drainage before June where possible. Coastal Palghar gets very heavy rain, and waterlogged plots are hard to work on. A raised plinth protects the cabin once it is in place.
