Portable Cabins & E-Houses in Jammu and Kathua

Jammu is the territory's industrial and logistics gateway. We build site offices, labour camps, security and toilet cabins, operator cabins and E-Houses for its estates and infrastructure projects, and deliver them by road from Umbergaon.

Jammu & Kathua

Most of Jammu and Kashmir's manufacturing sits on the plains around Jammu, in estates run by SIDCO and SICOP. Bari Brahmana and Gangyal hold pharmaceutical, FMCG, packaging and engineering units; Samba and Kathua add textiles, steel and processing plants along the highway toward Punjab. Katra, at the foot of the Trikuta hills, is a busy pilgrim town linked by rail.

Jammu is also the base for some of India's most demanding infrastructure. Rail, road and tunnel projects across the Pir Panjal and power works in the hills are organised from here, and contractors need site offices, labour camps, store rooms and toilet blocks that can move with the work. New plants in the estates add security cabins, operator cabins and E-Houses.

Modules reach Jammu from Umbergaon by road, north through Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab and up the NH44 past Pathankot. The plains approach is straightforward. Beyond Jammu the highway enters the mountains, and we plan module size and season for any structures going further.

Applications

Built for the climate

Specified for Jammu.

Sub-tropical plains climate at the Himalayan foothills: very hot summers, a heavy monsoon, and cool winters — in a high seismic zone.

  1. 01Use a thicker PUF roof and insulated walls for Jammu's very hot summers.
  2. 02Slope roofs, size gutters and raise plinths for a heavy monsoon at the foot of the hills.
  3. 03Have your engineer set seismic criteria, and anchor modules to their foundations.
  4. 04For structures moving on into the hills, specify for cold, snow and smaller module sizes.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do you deliver to Jammu?

By road from our factory in GIDC Umbergaon, north through Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab and up the NH44. We plan the route, vehicle and lift with you.

Can you supply camps for tunnel and road projects in the hills?

Yes. We build insulated site offices, bunk houses, toilet blocks and store rooms. For mountain sites we size modules for the roads or supply flat-packed systems, and plan delivery around the season.

Do temporary cabins in a SIDCO estate need approval?

The estate authority's rules and your plant permissions usually apply. Your compliance team is the right first check. We provide drawings and specifications to support any application.
