Portable Cabins & Prefab Cottages in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir
The union territory has two distinct economies. Jammu, on the plains edge, has the main industrial estates — Bari Brahmana, Gangyal, Samba and Kathua — along with the pilgrim town of Katra. The Kashmir valley runs on tourism, horticulture and handicrafts, with Srinagar's lakes and the resorts of Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg at its heart. Across both regions, rail, road, tunnel and power projects keep large construction teams in the field.
Winters in the valley are long and cold, with heavy snow at the resorts and freezing nights in Srinagar, and the whole territory lies in a high seismic zone. That calls for well-insulated PUF panel cabins, light gauge steel frames designed for snow load, and careful attention to water and drainage lines that can freeze.
Modules travel from Umbergaon north through Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab to Jammu on the NH44, and on to the valley through the Banihal tunnels. The highway beyond Jammu is mountainous and can close in bad weather, so we plan vehicle size, season and, where needed, flat-packed or smaller modules for each project.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Can you deliver portable cabins to Jammu and to the Kashmir valley?
Yes. Jammu is reached by road on the NH44 through Punjab. The valley is further along the same highway through the Banihal tunnels, which is mountainous and weather-dependent, so we plan the season, vehicle size and module size for each project.
How warm can a portable cabin be in a Kashmir winter?
With PUF panel walls and a thicker insulated roof and floor, a cabin holds heat well. We can add double glazing, sealed doors and provisions for heating, and route plumbing to reduce the risk of freezing.
When should we plan delivery to the valley?
Spring to autumn is the reliable window. Heavy snow can close the highway and resort roads in winter, so factory work should run ahead and installation should be scheduled for the open season.
