Portable Cabins, Labour Camps & E-Houses in Singrauli

Singrauli is India's energy capital — large opencast coal mines feeding some of the country's biggest power stations. We build site offices, labour camps, operator cabins and E-Houses for its mines, plants and contractors.

Singrauli

Singrauli, on the Madhya Pradesh–Uttar Pradesh border, sits on one of India's richest coalfields. Opencast mines at Nigahi, Jayant, Dudhichua, Amlohri and Moher feed a ring of large thermal power stations, including the super thermal station at Vindhyanagar and the integrated Sasan ultra mega power project near Waidhan. Mine expansions, overburden handling, conveyors, ash handling and power-plant maintenance keep the district permanently busy.

The work is heavy and continuous, and the structures that support it must be robust. Mines and plants need operator cabins, control rooms and E-Houses that tolerate dust, heat and vibration. Contractors need site offices, stores, security cabins, toilet blocks and labour camps, often placed in remote spots and moved as the mine face advances.

Singrauli is at the far eastern edge of Madhya Pradesh and is a long road haul from Umbergaon, through the Vindhya plateau via Rewa and Sidhi. We finish and test every module in the factory, then plan vehicle size, route, permits for entry into mining areas and the lift at your site. For very remote locations, smaller modules or flat-packed panel systems assembled on site can be the practical answer.

Applications

Built for the climate

Specified for Singrauli.

Hot, dusty central Indian climate: very hot summers, a heavy monsoon and cool winters, with coal and fly-ash dust year-round.

  1. 01Seal doors, windows and louvres against coal and fly-ash dust, and specify filters on AC and ventilation intakes.
  2. 02Use a thicker PUF roof and insulated walls for summer heat that regularly passes 45°C.
  3. 03Choose durable coated skins and robust floors for heavy use at mine and plant sites.
  4. 04Plan skids or lifting points so camps and site offices can be relocated as work fronts move.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can you deliver portable cabins to Singrauli?

Yes. We deliver by road from our factory in Umbergaon, via Rewa and Sidhi. It is a long haul, so we plan vehicle size, route and any entry permits for mining areas with you during design.

Can cabins be moved as the mine face advances?

Yes. Cabins and camp modules can be built on skids or with lifting points so they can be relocated by crane or trailer. Tell us how often you expect to move them and we will design for it.

How do cabins cope with coal dust?

Sealed joints, gasketed doors and windows, filtered ventilation and AC intakes, and washable interior finishes all help. For control rooms and E-Houses, slight positive pressure can keep dust out of equipment.

Are approvals needed for cabins inside a mining lease?

Structures inside a mine or plant boundary are governed by the operator's safety rules and the permissions that apply to the lease. Your safety team should confirm. We provide drawings and specifications to support the process.
