Portable Cabins & E-Houses in Shivamogga

Shivamogga is the gateway to the Malnad, between the plains and the wettest ghats in Karnataka. We build site offices, E-Houses, security cabins and labour accommodation for its industry, and cottages for the resorts in the hills beyond.

Shivamogga & Bhadravathi

Shivamogga's industry is concentrated in the Machenahalli–Nidige industrial area on the road to Bhadravathi, where engineering, casting, food processing and textile units sit alongside an IT park and IT special economic zone. Bhadravathi, a short drive away, grew up as a steel and paper town. The new airport at Sogane has improved the city's links, and road, rail and housing projects are following.

West of the city lies the Malnad: the Sharavathi valley, Jog Falls, the Linganamakki reservoir and hydroelectric works, and the rain-soaked ridges around Agumbe and Sagar. Here, homestays and nature resorts are growing, and hydro and transmission works need control rooms and site facilities. The region pairs everyday site structures on the plains side with hospitality work in the hills.

From Umbergaon, Shivamogga is reached by road down the Pune–Bengaluru highway, leaving it in central Karnataka, or from the coast over the ghats. We plan vehicle size, route and the lift with you, and time work in the western taluks around the monsoon.

Applications

Built for the climate

Specified for Shivamogga.

Transition climate: warm, moderately wet around the city, and one of India's heaviest monsoons in the ghats toward Agumbe and Sagar.

  1. 01Slope roofs well and size gutters for heavy monsoon rain, and far more for sites in the western taluks.
  2. 02Use galvanised frames, sealed joints and damp-resistant finishes for the long wet season.
  3. 03Raise plinths and plan drainage; laterite and clay sites hold water during the monsoon.
  4. 04Plan deliveries on ghat and forest roads for the dry months, with smaller modules where access is tight.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do you deliver cabins to Shivamogga?

By road from Umbergaon, down the Pune–Bengaluru highway and across central Karnataka, or from the coast over the ghats for some sites. We plan vehicle size, route and timing with you during design.

Can you supply control rooms and site facilities for hydro and transmission work?

Yes. We build E-Houses and control rooms around your equipment, and site offices, labour camps and security cabins for the works. Remote valley sites may need smaller modules, which we plan with you.

Can you build homestay cottages in the Malnad?

Yes. We build cottages on light gauge steel frames or from converted containers, detailed for heavy rain and damp. Plots near forests and sanctuaries may carry extra restrictions, so your consultant should confirm permissions first.

What approvals do temporary site structures need?

They are usually covered by the project's own permissions and, in KIADB areas, the board's rules. Your compliance team is the right first check. We provide drawings and specifications to support approvals.
