Portable Cabins & E-Houses in Assam

Assam is the gateway to the North-East and its busiest construction market. We build site offices, labour camps, E-Houses and resort cottages for its oil, tea, power and infrastructure projects, and plan each long-haul delivery from Umbergaon with you.

Assam

Assam's economy rests on oil, gas, tea and a growing layer of new industry. Upper Assam holds the country's oldest oilfields and refineries, a petrochemical complex and hundreds of tea estates; Numaligarh is expanding its refinery; Guwahati is the region's commercial and logistics hub; and a semiconductor assembly plant is rising at Jagiroad. Bridges over the Brahmaputra, highway four-laning and rail doubling keep contractors busy across the valley.

Building here means planning for water and ground. The Brahmaputra and Barak valleys receive heavy monsoon rain and flood most years, and the whole state lies in seismic zone V, the highest band in India's current code. Light, well-anchored steel structures on raised plinths suit these conditions, and many of the state's site offices, substation enclosures and labour camps are now built that way.

Our factory in Umbergaon is at the other end of the country. Modules travel by road across northern India to Siliguri, then through the Siliguri corridor into Assam. It is a long haul, so we plan module sizes, vehicle type, route and timing with you, and for remote or hard-to-reach sites we often recommend flat-packed panel or light gauge steel systems assembled on site.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do you deliver portable cabins and E-Houses to Assam?

Yes. We deliver by road from our factory in Umbergaon, across northern India and through the Siliguri corridor into Assam. It is a long journey, so module sizes, vehicles and timing are planned with you before fabrication begins.

How do you design for Assam's floods and earthquakes?

Assam lies in seismic zone V and much of the valley floods in the monsoon. We design steel frames with anchorage to your foundation, raised plinths and sloped, well-drained roofs. Your structural consultant should confirm the design loads and standards your project requires.

Is it better to send finished modules or panels for assembly on site?

It depends on the site. Finished modules save the most time where roads and crane access allow. For remote estates, bridges with load limits or narrow approaches, flat-packed PUF or Aerocon panels and light gauge steel frames assembled on site are often more practical.

When should we plan delivery and installation in Assam?

The dry months from roughly October to May are the easiest for road transport and site work. Fabrication continues through the monsoon, so the structure can be ready to dispatch as soon as the site is.
