Resort Cottages & Eco Lodges near Kaziranga

Kaziranga is one of India's best-known national parks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We build light steel cottages, lodges and site structures for the resort belt beside it and for projects in Golaghat district, planned around the park's rules and the flood season.

Kaziranga & Golaghat

Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve protects most of the world's greater one-horned rhinos, and visitors stay in lodges and resorts along its southern edge around Kohora, Bagori and Agoratoli, with Bokakhat the nearest town. Beyond the tourism belt, Golaghat district has tea estates and the refinery at Numaligarh, and the elevated wildlife corridor on NH 715 is being built along the park's southern boundary.

Building here demands care. The area around the park falls under eco-sensitive zone rules, and the Supreme Court in 2019 banned new construction in the park's nine identified animal corridors. Before planning any structure, owners should confirm with the forest department and local authorities what is permitted on their plot. Where building is allowed, light prefabricated structures on raised foundations minimise work on site and disturbance to the land.

From Umbergaon, structures travel by road across northern India, through the Siliguri corridor and along the Brahmaputra valley. We plan module sizes and timing with you, and usually recommend flat-packed panel or light gauge steel systems for quiet, low-impact assembly.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can we build resort cottages near Kaziranga?

Only where the rules allow. The area falls under eco-sensitive zone regulations, and new construction is banned in the park's identified animal corridors. Confirm what is permitted on your plot with the forest department and local authorities first, then we can design within those limits.

How do you deal with flooding?

We raise structures on stilts or high plinths above the local flood level, use sealed, sloped roofs and corrosion-resistant steel. Your consultant should confirm flood levels for the plot.

When is the best time to install?

The dry season, roughly November to April, when roads are clear and the park is open. Factory work continues through the monsoon so the structure is ready to install then.
