Prefab Cottages & Resort Rooms in Manali and Kullu
Manali & Kullu
The Beas runs through the Kullu valley from Bhuntar past Kullu and Naggar to Manali, and on toward Solang and the Atal Tunnel into Lahaul. Along the way are hotels, homestays, orchards, cafés and adventure camps, with the Parvati valley branching off toward Kasol. Visitors come year-round: for snow in winter, and to escape the plains' heat in summer.
The valley is a demanding place to build. Winters bring heavy snow around Manali and above, the monsoon can send the Beas and its tributaries into flood, and the region lies in one of India's highest seismic zones. Light gauge steel frames and PUF panel cottages suit it well. They are light, quick to erect in a short season, well insulated, and can be clad in timber and stone to suit the valley's architecture.
From Umbergaon, structures travel north to Chandigarh and up the Kiratpur–Manali highway through Mandi. The road is long and mountainous, so we usually size modules small or ship flat-packed LGS and panel kits for assembly on the plot. Every Manali project is planned individually around access, season and the lift.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Can you deliver prefab cottages to Manali?
Yes, with planning. The route runs from Chandigarh up the Kiratpur–Manali highway through Mandi. We usually use smaller modules or flat-packed LGS and panel kits assembled on the plot.
How do cottages cope with Manali's snow?
Your structural engineer should set the snow load for the site; we design the LGS frame, roof pitch and fixings to carry it. Thick PUF insulation, double glazing and heating provisions keep rooms warm.
What about river floods in the Kullu valley?
Site selection matters most. Keep structures well above the Beas and its tributaries' flood levels and away from debris channels. Your consultant should assess the plot before design.
When is the best season to install?
Late spring and autumn. Winter snow and monsoon landslides can close roads, so factory work should run ahead and installation should fit the open window.
