Desert Camps, Resort Cottages & E-Houses in Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer is two places at once: a golden fort city with desert camps on the dunes, and one of India's great solar and wind regions. We build camp suites and resort cottages for the first, and E-Houses and site camps for the second.

Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer's fort, havelis and the dunes at Sam and Khuri draw visitors through the winter season, and desert camps and resorts on the roads out of the city keep adding suites, cottages, dining pavilions and cafés. Guests expect comfort in a harsh place, and owners want structures that can be built quickly between seasons. Insulated light gauge steel and container units, finished in the factory, suit that brief.

The district is also a centre of India's renewable build-out. Solar parks at Nokh and Fatehgarh and further capacity around Pokaran, plus long-established wind farms near the city, need E-Houses, inverter rooms and control rooms, along with site offices, labour camps and stores for construction and O&M teams. Parts of the district fall within the Desert National Park and bustard habitat, where power lines and construction face special controls.

Jaisalmer is a long road haul from Umbergaon, through north Gujarat, Jodhpur and Pokaran. We finish every module in the factory, then plan vehicle size, route and crane access with you. Sites near the international border may need additional permissions, and remote camp and solar sites need access planned per project.

Applications

Built for the climate

Specified for Jaisalmer.

Extreme desert climate: very hot summers, sandstorms and strong winds, little rain, and cold winter nights.

  1. 01Use a thick PUF roof and walls with a light-coloured skin — insulation matters for both hot days and cold nights.
  2. 02Seal doors, windows and AC intakes against wind-blown sand, and use filtered louvres on E-Houses.
  3. 03Design anchorage and roof fixings for high winds and sandstorms on open dunes.
  4. 04Choose cladding and colours that sit well in the desert and heritage landscape.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can you deliver to desert camps and solar sites around Jaisalmer?

Yes. We deliver by road from our factory in Umbergaon, through north Gujarat and Jodhpur. Sand tracks and remote sites need access planned per project — that can mean smaller modules or an LGS frame assembled on site.

Can you build luxury camp suites and cottages?

Yes. We build insulated suites, cottages and dining pavilions on light gauge steel frames or from containers, with factory-finished interiors and bathrooms. The look can follow your architect's design.

When should work be planned around the tourist season?

Jaisalmer's season runs through the cooler months from October to March. Many owners install new units just before it, avoiding the peak heat of May and June where possible.

Are there special approvals near the Desert National Park or the border?

Yes, potentially. Land in and around the Desert National Park and bustard habitat carries environmental controls, and areas near the international border can need additional permissions. Your consultant should confirm what applies to your site.
