Solar & renewables — control rooms, inverter rooms and site infrastructure

Solar parks and wind sites are large, remote and exposed. We build the enclosures they depend on — inverter rooms, control rooms and E-Houses — along with the offices and security cabins that run them.

Overview

A utility-scale solar project is spread across hundreds of acres, often in hot, dusty or coastal locations with little construction infrastructure nearby. Building masonry rooms across such a site is slow and hard to supervise. Prefabricated enclosures arrive complete, are set on simple foundations, and let the electrical team start work as soon as the civil base is ready.

We supply the E-Houses and electrical rooms at the heart of the plant — inverter rooms, main control rooms and switchgear rooms at the pooling substation — engineered around the equipment layout and heat load, with insulated PUF envelopes, louvres or HVAC provisions and cable entries planned from the drawings. Dust sealing and roof insulation get particular attention in these climates.

Around them sit the buildings that operate the plant: a site office for the EPC team during construction, an O&M office afterwards, security cabins at gates and along the perimeter, stores for spares and modules, and washrooms. Planning these together keeps the site consistent and makes the handover from construction to operation cleaner.

What we supply

Configured for the job.

  • Inverter rooms

Insulated enclosures for central or string inverter equipment, with ventilation and cable entries planned for the layout.

  • Main control rooms

Rooms for SCADA, communication and protection panels, with an operator area, clean interior and planned cable floor.

  • Switchgear and pooling substation rooms

E-Houses for HT and LT switchgear at the plant's pooling or evacuation substation.

  • EPC and O&M site offices

Insulated office cabins for the construction team that can be refitted for operations after commissioning.

  • Gate and perimeter security cabins

Guard cabins with clear sightlines at entrances and around large perimeters.

  • Spares and module stores

Shipping containers for secure, weather-tight storage of spares, tools and equipment.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What buildings does a solar park typically need?

Inverter rooms or stations, a main control room, switchgear rooms at the pooling substation, a site office, security cabins, stores and washrooms. Which of these are prefabricated depends on the project, but most can be.

How do you deal with heat in inverter and control rooms?

Insulated PUF walls and roof reduce heat gain, and ventilation or HVAC provisions are sized to the equipment heat load. We design around the heat load and ambient conditions you share.

What about dust at desert or dry-land sites?

Sealed panel joints, gasketed doors and filtered louvres help keep dust out. Specify the dust-protection level your equipment requires and we will design to it.

Can you supply wind project sites as well?

Yes. Control rooms, switchgear rooms, site offices, stores and security cabins for wind farms are built in the same way.

Do you supply battery storage containers?

Our scope is enclosures for electrical panels and control equipment, plus site buildings. For battery storage, please talk to us about your requirement and we will tell you honestly what we can support.
