Portable Cabins & E-Houses in Chennai and Sriperumbudur

Chennai is South India's manufacturing capital and one of its busiest construction markets. We build site offices, E-Houses, operator cabins, labour camps and sales galleries for its plants and projects, and deliver them by road.

Chennai & Sriperumbudur

Chennai's industry fans out west and north of the city. The SIPCOT parks at Sriperumbudur, Oragadam and Irungattukottai hold car, electronics and component plants; Ambattur and Guindy are the older engineering estates; and to the north, Ennore, Kamarajar Port and Kattupalli combine ports, power stations and heavy industry. Inside the city, metro rail, flyovers and the IT towers of Old Mahabalipuram Road and Pallikaranai keep construction running all year.

That creates demand at every level. Contractors on metro and road jobs need site offices, labour accommodation, toilet blocks and security cabins. Plants in the SIPCOT belt need operator cabins, quality rooms and E-Houses for new lines. Developers on OMR and ECR want premium site offices and sales galleries that match the project they are selling.

Chennai sits at the end of NH48, the highway that runs from our side of the country through Pune and Bengaluru. Modules come in along that corridor to Sriperumbudur and the city. The coast brings salt air, intense north-east monsoon rain and cyclones such as Vardah and Michaung, so we detail anchorage, drainage and corrosion protection for it.

Applications

Built for the climate

Specified for Chennai.

Hot, humid coastal climate with salt air, a north-east monsoon that peaks from October to December and a risk of cyclones and flooding.

  1. 01Specify galvanised frames, coated sheet and stainless or coated fixings for salt air, especially near Ennore and the ECR.
  2. 02Raise plinths and plan site drainage for waterlogging during intense north-east monsoon spells.
  3. 03Anchor cabins to the foundation and detail roofs and fixings for cyclone winds.
  4. 04Use a thicker PUF roof and properly sized AC for long, humid summers.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do you deliver cabins from Umbergaon to Chennai?

By road along the NH48 corridor through Pune and Bengaluru. Standard modules travel on normal trailers; oversized E-Houses need route planning and escort arrangements. Heavy vehicles face entry timings inside the city, which we factor into the plan.

Can you build E-Houses for plants in Sriperumbudur and Oragadam?

Yes. We build E-Houses around your panel layout, with cable entries, ventilation or HVAC provisions, lighting and earthing designed in. Share your drawings and the standards your plant applies.

When should we avoid installation in Chennai?

The north-east monsoon from October to December brings the heaviest rain and cyclone risk. It helps to have foundations ready and lifts planned outside that window, while factory work runs in parallel.

Do we need approval for a site office or sales gallery in Chennai?

Temporary structures on a project site are usually covered by the project's permissions, and SIPCOT estates have their own rules. Coastal plots may fall under Coastal Regulation Zone rules. We provide drawings and specifications to support any approval.
