Portable Cabins & Site Offices in Kolkata and Howrah

Kolkata is eastern India's largest city and its commercial capital. We build premium site offices, sales galleries, labour camps, toilet and security cabins and E-Houses for its projects, and deliver them by road from Umbergaon.

Kolkata & Howrah

Greater Kolkata spreads along both banks of the Hooghly. Howrah and the river towns keep the foundries and engineering works that made the region's name, the docks at Kolkata and the leather complex at Bantala remain busy, and Salt Lake Sector V and New Town have grown into large IT and business districts. Metro extensions, flyovers, housing towers and commercial projects keep the city under steady construction.

Each of those projects needs structures from its first week: site offices and meeting rooms for contractors and consultants, labour accommodation and toilet blocks for the workforce, and security cabins at the gates. Developers in New Town and along the southern fringe often want a proper sales gallery on site, and many head offices in the city procure E-Houses and control rooms for plants elsewhere in the east.

Kolkata is reached from Umbergaon by road across central India, through Nagpur, Raipur and Sambalpur, then via Kharagpur. City entry timings, narrow lanes in the older districts and crane positioning shape the delivery plan, and we work through them with you before dispatch. Cabins are detailed for humid heat, heavy monsoon rain and the sudden nor'wester storms of April and May.

Applications

Built for the climate

Specified for Kolkata.

Hot, humid tropical climate: a steamy summer, sudden nor'wester storms in April and May, a heavy monsoon from June to September and a short, mild winter.

  1. 01Specify galvanised frames, PPGI skins and coated fixings for year-round humidity.
  2. 02Slope roofs well, size gutters generously and raise the plinth — low-lying areas waterlog quickly in monsoon downpours.
  3. 03Anchor cabins securely and fix roof sheets well for the strong gusts of pre-monsoon nor'westers.
  4. 04Use insulated PUF roofs and walls and shade glazing to keep air-conditioning loads down in the humid heat.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

How do you deliver portable cabins from Umbergaon to Kolkata?

By road across central India, through Nagpur, Raipur and Sambalpur and then via Kharagpur. Standard modules travel on normal trailers; larger ones need route planning. Share your site location early and we will plan the route and city entry with you.

Can a crane reach our site in central Kolkata?

Often, with planning. Older districts have narrow lanes and restricted entry times, so we check the approach, the lift position and whether smaller modules would be easier. Photos of the access help us suggest the most practical method.

Can you build a sales gallery for a project in New Town?

Yes. We build sales galleries from container or light gauge steel structures with glazing, finished interiors and a considered exterior. They go up quickly and can be relocated when the project is sold out.

Do we need approval for a temporary site office in Kolkata?

Usually the site's building permission, the local body's rules and your developer's or contractor's safety plan govern temporary structures. Your consultant is the right first check. We provide drawings and specifications to support any approval.
